I first met Shauntrelle in 2022 during my birth class while she was auditing the course. Almost immediately, I knew I wanted her as my doula. I was going to be her very first birth, but I was never nervous about that. My thought was simple: she already had multiple children and I had none, so she naturally had more experience than I did.

Even though my birth was technically her first as a doula, you would have never known it. Even at my first birth with her, it was obvious this came naturally to her. She was calm, confident, knowledgeable, supportive, and such a strong advocate for me during labor.

After birth, nursing my son was extremely difficult. We later found out he had severe lip and tongue ties and was barely transferring milk. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and constantly in tears. Through all of it, Shauntrelle kept checking in on me. One day when everything felt chaotic and my baby would not stop crying, she came over, I handed him to her, and he instantly relaxed. That moment alone says so much about her calm presence.

I remember telling her how discouraging it was seeing social media portray postpartum and breastfeeding as peaceful and effortless when my reality felt nothing like that. She smiled kindly and said, “That’s not real. What you’re experiencing is real.” It was exactly what I needed to hear in that moment.
About a year and a half later, I became pregnant again, and there was never a question about who I would call. During my second labor, she seemed to know exactly what I needed before I even said it. From helping me reposition to keeping me calm and focused, I truly believe she played a huge role in how smoothly and quickly my labor progressed.

What makes Shauntrelle so special is that she genuinely cares. She has a rare ability to make you feel safe, supported, informed, and empowered during some of the most vulnerable moments of your life. Having her alongside our family through both of my births was such a blessing, and I will forever be grateful for her.

Shauntrelle went above and beyond all I could ask for. Not only was every visit detailed, but all of our questions were answered. I felt safe in her presence at my home. She made dinner for us on multiple occasions, was there when I needed her NO MATTER the time. Made sure our home was prepared and clean. She even helped me when I was nesting. I never felt silly asking her any questions. On the day our daughter was born she made us feel so safe. We knew what we were facing ahead of time, and we were well informed of everything BEFORE my labor and delivery, so that the one time we were faced with an obstacle outside of our birth plan, we already had our options beforehand. I didn’t have to worry about making a decision during the most vulnerable time in my life. She kept my husband and in laws calm during the whole process. Every one loved her. The nurses all said she was great to work with after baby was born. To make it even better, after our daughter was born we came home to a CLEAN house, with dinners already prepared in our freezer.
Her postpartum care is like no other. Her calm presence and voice is all I ever needed. If we ever decide to have more children, She will be my go to every time. She wasn’t just a doula, She became family to us. We love her and YOU will too!!!

Shauntrelle made so many wonderfully helpful suggestions through my labor. Everything she did was outstanding. One thing that especially made a difference, were the counterpressure measures she applied when having back labor. My mom who came as my birth partner was not able to replicate what she was able to do in providing such wonderful relief.

I didn’t have a particularly good experience with the midwife that attended my birth. Shauntrelle made the difference, turning what would have been a disappointing and frustrating experience, into a beautiful positive experience that I can look back on fondly. She was there, she was in it, she was positive, supportive, gentle, and kind. Everything she did was helpful and encouraging. I could sense that she truly cared about me and my baby. Overall, she played THE key role in making my birth experience calm and positive.

My biggest regret is not meeting Shauntrelle sooner in my pregnancy journey. I connected with her in the third trimester, I would’ve loved to have her amazing support throughout my pregnancy.

Her warm smiles and encouragement throughout were so Empowering to me. I am so thankful to have had her be part of such a special moment into my life and my baby’s.

Working with Shauntrelle as my doula was an incredible experience. From the very beginning, she made me feel safe, supported, and completely at ease during such an important time. Her calm presence and reassurance meant so much to me.

She is extremely informative and very knowledgeable. Every time I had a question or concern, she took the time to explain things in a way that helped me feel confident and prepared. You can truly tell that she cares deeply about the families she supports.

My experience with her was like no other. Having someone so compassionate, patient, and skilled by my side made the entire process feel so much more empowering.

Absolutely life-changing -- I cannot recommend her enough!

From the moment we met, Shauntrelle made me feel completely seen, heard, and supported. Her calm, reassuring presence was exactly what I needed throughout my pregnancy, and when labor began, she was an absolute rock. She anticipated my needs before I even knew what they were, offered the perfect balance of hands-on support and space, and kept both me and my husband grounded through every intense moment.

Having Shauntrelle as a part of my birth team was amazing. The help she provided was invaluable and I would not have gotten through my birthing experience without her. Because of Shauntrelle I was prepared mentally and physically to welcome my contractions during the entire labor process. Shauntrelle was excellent while I was pregnant and helped my partner and I with stretching exercises, meditation, breathing exercises, and educated us thoroughly on the birth process and what we might face. She was always readily available for us when we needed her guidance or had questions. My labor and the birth of our child ended up being completely opposite of what we planned. I faced multiple interventions, a long labor, and eventually a c-section. Despite all of this, I felt calm and prepared with Shauntrelle by my side. She is truly amazing and I am so thankful for her presence during pregnancy, labor, and post-partum.

My wife and I just had our newborn 2 weeks ago. Working for the last 9 months with Shauntrelle has been AMAZING as the support partner. Any questions I had the answers right away. She was in our home when we wanted her and the week of my wife's labor, she made sure I was the best support for me wife. My wife gave birth naturally and the advice and support we had was top notch. Loved every moment having a doula.
